God is a Detective?

This really cracked me up this morning. It's from Creativity: Unleashing the Forces Within (Osho, Insights for a New Way of Living.) I'm trying not to mention that I was in the bathroom when I saw this...

"The idea of God is that of a Peeping Tom who does not even allow you privacy in your bathroom, who goes on looking through the keyhole, watching what you are doing. This is ugly! All the religions of the world say God continuously watches you -- this is ugly, what kind of God is this? Has he got no other business but to watch everybody, follow everybody? Seems to be the ultimate detective!

Humanity needs a new soil -- the soil of freedom....Of course, you have not to interfere with anybody -- but as far as your life is concerned you have to live it on your own terms."

Still immersed in The Vortex

I'm greatly enjoying the newest offering from Abraham-Hicks: The Vortex: Where the Law of Attraction Assembles All Cooperative Relationships. It's one of those books I can't help but read with a pen in my hand. And continually quote on Facebook. I think it's also taking me longer because I keep reading it before bed. When I get tired, I can't help but think, "What would really make me feel good right now?" And the answer is often "Sleep". It's nice have reinforcement in making good choices in the now, so I go with it.

The focus of this book is on relationships, which literally touches on almost everything in our lives. Like many of the Abraham-Hicks books, a regular Abe reader will have heard much of what they are saying before. However, it's generally put together in different ways, with some new tidbits and much humor thrown in. I've been reading it in small pieces, savoring the experience. I also find the repetition to be very helpful in integrating the information into my life. Great stuff.

THE VORTEX: the newest book from Abraham-Hicks

I am only 9 pages into this book, but I am already loving it and quoting it all over the place, so I figured I might as well share it here. If you are at all drawn to it, I suggest you get The Vortex: Where the Law of Attraction Assembles All Cooperative Relationships.
Enjoy!

Daily Focus 1/3/09

I have been inspired to take time off from intentions (perhaps indefinitely) in favor of rekindling a more direct, immediate, and useful connection to the divine. I have always had challenges with manifesting in knowing what is best for me. I often have direct preferences, but not always. Especially in these cases, it is best to surrender the decision to a higher power. Source energy will come up with something, generally far greater than I would or could imagine.

As such, I am sticking with:

I love you
I'm sorry
Please forgive me
Thank you
I love you

This is the ho'oponopono path. I have been learning of this path from this book, written by Joe Vitale and Dr. Hew Len:

In this path, one takes 100% responsibility for one's life. Everything that comes into my life, I created or attracted in some way. Therefore, I take responsibility. If I do not like something, I ask forgiveness of myself that the divine may transmute it into something more divine. Usually, love. The words above are spoken to self because everything in the outer world is a reflection of the self. They are spoken incessantly, internally, and externally. They bring peace. They bring flow.

As Dr. Hew Len says,
Peace of I

So, you may be reading those words from me a lot. That could be a good thing.

Currently Reading: The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire

The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire by Deepak Chopra

I originally got this 2004 book by Chopra from the library, but ended up ordering my own copy because I want to work with it in more depth. This work looks at the science behind coincidences and synchronicity and gives guidelines for how to use them to create what you want in life. Sometimes I had to fight through the quantum physics descriptions, but if I made it, then they are pretty accessible. My science quotient is pretty low.

Chopra also goes into a method for using archetypes in daily meditation. This section was notable for me in that I have come across archetypes in many other books and never felt moved or inspired. I never quite "got it" before. I understood the ideas, but for some reason, they fell flat for me. Perhaps it was just the right time for me, or perhaps Mr. Chopra puts it in a new way, but I found myself being very motivated to figure out my archetypes and use them to inspire me to live larger on a daily basis.

Celebration of Results: New Business?

The reason I was so scattered this morning to the point of not even posting my daily focus was that I was focused on something else entirely!

As you may know if you read this blog regularly, I have been planning on offering law of attraction coaching. For some reason, I have not gotten it going yet. Well, I was out of town last weekend. That makes it tougher. There are a few things I need to get together in order to offer it. I just have not felt called to get them together. So I haven't. (If anyone out there is dying for my law of attraction consulting services, let me know, and I'll light a fire under my own butt.) So anyway, the fire under my own butt right now seems to be burning very dimly, so it hasn't been happening.

In the past couple days I received an email from a new company that was recently born. I quite literally just got swept away with reading all their materials and sending them the introductory email required to get the process started. It is quite possibly a very exciting opportunity, including many of the things I enjoy about my current job, but so much more. It is not only an opportunity to make money, but also to make a difference in the world in a way that really, really makes sense to me. I tend to look for that in a job. Aquarius, I guess.

Funny thing is, I kept opening up Money and the Law of Attraction from Abraham-Hicks to a certain point that talks just about that: if you want a new opportunity, focus on the things in your current employ that you really appreciate. Although some fear that will get you stuck in your current employ, it is not the case. It just raises your vibration and brings you more of what you do want.

And then this opportunity just dropped into my lap.

And then I felt very drawn to researching it and getting my stuff together. Fast.

And then I responded to by the company. Fast.

And I also received more confirmation from the universe. Pretty fast.

So, it's exciting and I'm moving forward on it. Obviously, I'm being vague right now. If and when I am committed, I'll no doubt share more of the details here.

However, I thought it interesting as a result of things I'd been manifesting. And also explains why the coaching here hasn't been really flying yet.

I truly believe, all in good time.

I follow my instincts.

I act on inspiration.

It's all very exciting.

Currently Reading: Five Wishes

I'm in the process of reading the above book right now. I am on his third wish right now, I think. It's an easy read, and I'm enjoying it. I have not read any books by Hendricks before, but I'm thinking I might with my current refocus on my relationship. He's all about the relationships.

So far, I like the idea of the book. The central question is, (from page 17) "If you told me on your deathbed that your life had not been a success, what would be the things you'd wish had happened that would have made it a success?" And it goes on from there. The question creates a sense of urgency and focus.

I hope to go through the process myself (not my deathbed!) when I'm done with the book and see what I come up with as 5 things that would make my life more successful.

I think this is a potentially handy tool, especially if you would like to inject a little more passion into your life and goals. I'm trying to keep things simple for myself and not work with too many tools at once. However, whatever keeps the things you want in your life in the forefront of your mind is great. What you think about you create.

Now, go forth and wish.

At the risk of appearing like a crazy old lady...Abraham Cats

I will post this link to cats illustrating Abraham-Hicks quotes.

(shakes head: I am young. I am cool. Really.) :D

Ok, here are the cats.

(It's all about cats today for me for some reason. Hmmmm.)

Has everyone seen this book:

I love it. We consult it in our house whenever we are seeing a predominant animal theme in our lives. The keynote about cats is "mystery, magic, and independence." It says, among many other things, "anytime a cat becomes predominant, look for magic and mystery to come alive."

Nice.

Currently Reading: More on Losier

Here are some things I like about the book so far:
Easy to read

Straightforward

Clear

To the point

Focuses specifically on the two areas that people care about most: Love and Money

Includes a section on teaching Law of Attraction to kids! (love it!)

Includes worksheets, copies of which can also be downloaded online.

Tool #2 in Tools for Including the Vibration of Abundance in Your Vibrational Bubble: "Always say yes to money" p.119 This is a great one. How often do you turn down offers from people who want to treat you to something? Just say "Thank you!" Love it.

Ok, I am about to be abundant in coffee with cinnamon bun creamer. Mmmmm. And must keep reading. Just had to share. I must be having a Mercury transit or something. I can't stop writing today. I have decided to try to write whenever I feel the urge and only when I feel the urge. And to try to get it out when I do.

Keep (deliberately) manifesting, Peeps!

Currently Reading/More Results: Celebrating My Abundance

Currently reading:

I'm reading the above book, trying to determine if taking Losier's Law of Attraction Certified Facilitators Program is the right move for me. I'm putting it out into the universe to make my path clear.

So far, I like the book. He comes from the Abraham Hicks school, so many (if not all) of the ideas presented are familiar to me. However, I love repetition in important things, so that's fine. Anyway, he has a great section on abundance towards the end. He encourages you to celebrate whatever abundance you do have and notice every aspect of abundance that comes into your life.

I have an amazingly abundant life!

We have a great house
We have two great cars
We have all the food we need and then some
We pay all our bills on time every month
We have some nice entertainment items
We have oodles of books

We have a number of sources of income. (I really like that.)

And then, there are some sources of abundance that Losier points out that people might not normally consider. I've received a number of these recently too!

I got a $600 airline ticket for $5 using my airline miles
For the same trip, I was offered free lodging and transportation!
I got the gift of flowers yesterday
I receive advice and coaching free most days at work
I get discounted food all the time
I just received a CD I wanted that cost me $4 including shipping
A spot opened up in a free preschool for which we were on the waitlist

Interestingly, I noticed myself saying to someone today, "No one ever really buys me gifts."

I'm turning that one around! Buy me gifts, universe!

Ok, there's some celebration of my abundance. And this is just financial abundance. Yikes, I am so abundant in love and surrounded by talent. I have oodles of energy, health, friends, and joy. I receive help in many different ways throughout every day.

I am abundant!

Ok, that's how we do a celebrate abundance rampage.

In what ways are you abundant?
