I figured if I didn't just go ahead and write a blog post, I might never do it again. Well, I suppose that is unlikely. However, I have been trying to use the Law of Attraction principle of aligning, getting inspired, and then taking action. I had not been feeling inspired to take action. I need to reconcile that with the desire to keep this blog updated on a regular basis.
Also, there has been a lot going on astrologically that has led me to feel very inward. So, I have gone with that. Following the energies. How about you? One of the more basic things seems to have just been the sun in Scorpio. Last night, the sun moved into Sagittarius, and I feel more inspired. I guess I felt inspired sometimes in the past month and a half. But I would get ideas, and then not have the time or inclination to push them this far out into the world.
I have also been considering some shifts in this site. (Some of them being, Manifest Laboratory: Now with more swearing and drinking!) I have been trying to figure out ways to make that happen. (Well, I can figure out the swearing and drinking. I am more thinking about my own domain and a redesign.) I have been ruminating on all of this. And stewing in Plutonic (Scorpio) juices. Perhaps I am pushing out again. Not to mention all the crazy, wonderful, but time-consuming stuff that has been going on with my husband Kevin's writing career. Lots of energy there. (Plan to write more on that later.) At any rate, I am here. That is a start. We'll see where it takes us.
You can also follow me on Facebook or Twitter. (My Facebook automatically feeds to my Twitter.) I tend to throw a lot of things up on Facebook b/c I'm a Facebook geek and I'm there most of the time anyway. That is a good place to check in if I ignore the blog for too long.
It's all a work in progress. Or, as Neale Donald Walsch might say, "We're making it all up." Good thing this is a laboratory! A friend today said that I am the intersection of motivation and relaxation. I rather liked that. Seems like inspired action.
Thanks for reading.

Abraham on disciplined thought
So cool. As I was writing my last post, I was wanting to explain how it works that you control your point of attraction and that is what makes all the difference in your life. It seemed too complex for me to try to explain. I just happened to head over to see the Abraham quote of the day, and the quote did it for me. Ha! So here it is...
When you begin to understand Law of Attraction, and you understand that which is like unto itself is drawn, then it is easier and easier to understand that you are offering a signal, and the entire Universe responds. And when you finally get that, and you begin to exercise some deliberate control about the signal that you offer, then it really begins to be fun, because then you recognize that nothing happens outside of your creative control. There are no things that happen by chance or by circumstance. There is nothing that is happening because of something you vibrated a long time ago or in a past life. It is not about what you were born into. It is only about what you are, right now, in this red hot fresh moment emitting.

Today is a great day.
I am so happy to be free today!
Everything that needs to get done today will get done.
I am increasing my financial assets all the time.
I am creating more passive income.
I am truly abundant.
Our lives are happy.
My family is harmonious.
We enjoy fun times together.
My kids are getting along really well.
They are both good at manifesting!
They enjoy being in harmony with the rest of the family.
My home is getting more comfortable, clean, organized, and beautiful all the time.
I savor every moment.
Ha! I originally wrote "I savor every money." Well, that too.
Here is a great weight loss affirmation I got from the book Amazing Grace:
Money is coming to me from everywhere.
Money money loves me.
Today, I am in the flow.
Today, I have fun!
I accomplish what needs to be accomplished.
But mostly, I savor life.
I have fun!

Abraham Quote of the Day: Somebody will do what you don't want to. Or they won't.
I loved this quote that I found on the Abraham-Hicks site this morning. It addresses that fear that you have to do the things you don't want to do because no one wants to do them, but they need to be done (For example, I used to feel guilty when I thought of hiring someone to clean my house.)
Anything you desire, the Universe can find a way to let it happen within the context of people’s natural, joyful desires. It must be, for this is a joy-based Universe.
And so, as you watch children playing in the mud and having great joy in it, you might not enjoy playing in the mud, but they do. And so, there’s somebody enjoying doing something you don’t want to do. And that pretty much applies to everything. There’s someone who would enjoy doing every thing that you don’t want to do. And if it really came down to where there was really not one person willing to do that thing, you would develop another way of approaching it. There are a lot of things that were in your history that you no longer participate in. You left them behind because no one wanted to do them.

Abraham-Hicks Quote: "I'll Seek Reasons to Feel Good."
I've been thinking about a quote I read that I meant to share with my husband. And suddenly, I did one of those "random" book openings today, and there it was.
This is the book:
Here is the quote, from page 186-187
BTW, Kevin is getting really good at this. I just thought it might be helpful for someone else.
This is the book:
Here is the quote, from page 186-187
Jerry: So, in other words, unless people now focus on what they do want and get their focus off of what they don't want...they'll just continue to -- in some form -- recreate a negative situation?
Abraham: This is absolutely correct. No matter how justified you are in your negative emotion, you are still messing up your future.
Most of you have given enough thought to what you want to keep you happily busy for 10 or 20 lifetimes, but your manifestation cannot get to you because your door is closed. And the reason that your door is closed is because you are so busy complaining about what-is or busy defending where you now stand...Look for reasons to feel good. And in your joy, you open the door. And as you open your door, all of these things that you have said "I want" can then flow in. And it is our expectation that, under those conditions, you would live happily ever after --which, after all, is that which you have truly intended as you have come forth into this career of physical life experience.
BTW, Kevin is getting really good at this. I just thought it might be helpful for someone else.

Wow! Abraham-Hicks quote on Parenting
Ok, just as I'm tackling this topic, so to speak, I am over at the Abraham-Hicks website and find this quote, about how to be a parent! Thanks Abraham! (wooooo oooo woooo oooooo!) How fun is the law of attraction?
Child of mine, I will never do for you that which I know you can do for yourself. I will never rob you of an opportunity to show yourself your ability and talent. I will see you at all times as the capable, effective, powerful creator that you've come forth to be. And I will stand back as your most avid cheerleading section. But I will not do for you that which you have intended to do for yourself. Anything you need from me, ask. I'm always here to compliment or assist. I am here to encourage your growth, not to justify my experience through you.

Abraham-Hicks quote on Well-Being: Zane's Birthday!
I noticed on the Abe site today that their quote is from the day my son was born. Had to post!
No human would ever do anything to harm another if Connected to Source because when you're Connected, you're empowered; you don't feel insecure. And when you don't feel insecure, you don't need to do something to somebody else that you're afraid of, because you're not afraid. You understand that Well-Being is yours.

68 Second Video
I'm diggin' the mind movies these days. But to be honest, I don't have a huge attention span for them. So, I'm liking the ones that are under 2 minutes the best, it seems. Check out this one from 68 Second Video.
Here's the information on why 68 seconds is the goal. I'm quoting from the website, which quotes Abraham-Hicks:
68 Second Video has other good information on how to use the videos. Check it out.
Here's the information on why 68 seconds is the goal. I'm quoting from the website, which quotes Abraham-Hicks:
How does this work?
1. Read this quote from Abraham about why taking 68 seconds is important.
"Few humans are aware of their vibrational point of attraction, and few have any awareness of how they are flowing their Energy moment by moment. Instead, most are observing the results of how others have flowed Energy. As they look at the evidence of what they don’t want, they conclude “that is bad” and as they look at the evidence of what they do want they conclude “that is good”. The next logical step to concluding what is “not wanted” is to try to hold it away. To push against it. It is from this perspective that most physical human beings become almost completely dependent upon their action for creating. But action does not create. Your vibrational offering of thought Energy produces the results that you live.
"If you will take the time to line up your Energy, meaning create a vibrational match between your desire and your belief, the Universe will deliver to you amazing circumstances and events toward your physical conclusions. However, if you proceed with action before you have aligned your Energies of belief and desire, there is not enough action in the world to make any real difference.
"We see so many working so very hard, and giving so much time and physical effort without having aligned their own Energies. We encourage you to develop the skill of alignment and you will discover the power of this Universal Energy.
"17 seconds of pure (not contradicted) thought is equivalent to 2000 action hours. 34 seconds of pure thought is equivalent to 20,000 action hours. 51 seconds of pure thought is equivalent to 200,000 action hours. 68 seconds of pure thought is equivalent to over 2,000,000 action hours.
"Once you learn to align with the Energy of you Source you will discover that action is not a key ingredient to the fulfillment of your desires for abundance, success, joy or any other physical fulfillment. Line up your Energy and then follow the inspired action — and you will live happily ever after."
Abraham-Hicks 10/27/96
The Abraham quote above is copywritten by Esther and Jerry Hicks.
You can find out more about Abraham at http://www.abraham-hicks.com.
2. As you focus on a feeling for at least 17 seconds, you begin to create more of the feeling. The Law of Attraction kicks in and starts bringing you more and more of what you are focusing on.
3. When you combine that good feeling with a thought of a specific experience you are wanting to have, then the Law of Attraction kicks in and brings you more and more of both.
4. The better you feel, the less resistance you have to what is so in your experience. This allows you to move out of what is so and into what you want.
5. For a more detailed explanation from Abraham, read this quote.
"With only a few seconds of focusing your attention on a subject, you activate the vibration of that subject within you, and immediately the Law of Attraction begins to respond to that activation. The longer you keep your attention focused on something, the easier it becomes for you to continue to focus upon it because you were attracting, through the Law of Attraction, other thoughts or vibrations that are the essence of the thought you began with.
"Within 17 seconds of focusing on something, a matching vibrational becomes activated. And now, as that focus become stronger and the vibration becomes clearer, the Law of Attraction will bring to you more thoughts that match. At this point, the vibration will not have much attraction power, but if you maintain your focus longer, power of the vibration will become further-reaching. And if you manage to stay purely focused upon any thought for as little as 68 seconds, the vibration is powerful enough that its manifestation begins.
"When you repeatedly return to a pure thought, maintaining it for at least 68 seconds, in a short period of time (hours in some cases or a few days in others), that thought becomes a dominant thought. And once you achieve a dominant thought, you will experience matching manifestations until you change it.
"Remember that:
* The thoughts you think equal your point of attraction.
* You get what you think about, whether you want it or not.
* Your thoughts equal vibration, and that vibration is then answered by the Law of Attraction.
* As your vibration expands and becomes more powerful, it eventually becomes powerful enough for manifestation to occur.
* In other words, what you think (and therefore feel), and what manifests in your experience, is always a vibrational match.

San Diego story in Abraham-Hicks: It's about seeing your results
Ok, I figure it's time to post this story, since I've been alluding to it all month. Honestly, the story came to me right in the beginning, but I thought it would be too long and complicated to post. I now think it will be fine. Interestingly, after posting about San Diego before, I was drawn to open up this book at "random":
I went right to page 230, where it tells the story. It's pretty interesting that I went right to it. (Law of Attraction) I have read at least 4 different Abraham-Hicks books in the past couple months, and watched one of their DVDs. If I had "tried" to find the story, I would have been at a loss as to where to locate it. However, by just relaxing into it, it came right to me.
So anyway, here it is:
It goes on to say some other really good stuff, but I don't want to overquote. I do suggest you check it out. It's great stuff.

So anyway, here it is:
"So it's like traveling from Phoenix to San Diego, and San Diego's where you want to be, but for most of the distance of 400 miles, you're not where you want to be. And if it frustrates you that you're not there, vibrationally speaking you would just turn around and go back to Phoenix. You would never get there. But in terms of this physical journey from place to place, you say, 'Well I understand that journey, so I can make that. I can see my progress. I can see that with every mile I stay focused in that direction, that I'm getting farther from where I don't want to be and closer to where I do want to be.'
And we say, so you keep the faith because you have this evidence that shows you you're getting close, you're getting closer, you're getting closer. So (unless you're walking) nobody gets discouraged about that journey. In other words, you hold the faith. You hold the belief. You don't say, 'San Diego is an impossible dream.' You don't say, 'San Diego's incurable --I've tried and tried and tried and tried, and I can't get there,' because you can get there, and you know you can.
When you make the connection that the way you feel is your indicator of the direction that you're moving, and you can honestly say to yourself, 'I do feel optimistic -- when I say, 'All is well," I mean it...I really feel it,' then we say, then you can't not get there. If you can maintain that expectation and that attitude and that vibrational frequency, it has to come -- and it will come fast."
It goes on to say some other really good stuff, but I don't want to overquote. I do suggest you check it out. It's great stuff.

At the risk of appearing like a crazy old lady...Abraham Cats
I will post this link to cats illustrating Abraham-Hicks quotes.
(shakes head: I am young. I am cool. Really.) :D
Ok, here are the cats.
(It's all about cats today for me for some reason. Hmmmm.)
Has everyone seen this book:
I love it. We consult it in our house whenever we are seeing a predominant animal theme in our lives. The keynote about cats is "mystery, magic, and independence." It says, among many other things, "anytime a cat becomes predominant, look for magic and mystery to come alive."
Nice.

Kids: Daily Law of Attraction Quote from Abraham Hicks
"Relative to our children or any children with whom we would interact, our one dominant intention would be to give them a conscious understanding of how powerful and important and valuable and perfect they are. Every word that would come out of our mouths would be a word that would be offered with the desire to help this individual know that they are powerful. It would be a word of empowerment. We would set the Tone for upliftment and understand that everything will gravitate to that Tone if we would maintain it consistently."

Daily Focus, 9/11/08
To learn more about the following quote as it pertains to me, from Abraham-Hicks' The Law of Attraction in Action, Volume I DVD, go here.
Abraham goes on to give this advice to the speaker, which I find VERY helpful, about relaxing about whether or not your message is received and/or used:
Today is a great day.
Today I feel good.
My back is strong and healthy, better than yesterday.
All is smooth and easy. I am in the flow. All good things come to me.
Kevin is working through his current physical discomfort. He is smart. He will figure it out. He will get better and better. I see him as the best possible person he can be, healthy and strong, prosperous and happy. His talents and the success that comes from them gives him joy. But mostly, he finds joy in himself and shares it.
Work will go well for me today. I will be relaxed and in the flow. The right people will easily come to me. They will be successful. I will deliver what they want. It will be fun and prosperous. Time will go by quickly.
My family is peaceful, harmonious and fun. Last night was a great example. We all enjoyed each others' company. Caspian is very helpful! The more I see him as helpful, the more helpful he becomes. He loves it. Our relationship is getting better and better. Zane is becoming more helpful, too. Caspian is becoming a valuable teacher and role model for Zane's behavior. It is joyous to watch.
I am getting very close to the free life I am creating. I do what I want when I want. I follow my instincts. I have more than enough time and money to craft my life in whatever way suits me. It is a joyous ride because I know I can have whatever I want. I am almost to San Diego. (Note to readers: San Diego has a lot of meaning for me these days and I may have figured out why -- Abraham uses San Diego in a story about getting to a destination.) I am almost at my destination: a free, abundant, joyous life. I guess when I put it that way, I am there. I do as I choose every day, every minute. I am free to spend my time and money however I choose. I have fun. I spend time with friends and family that I love. We create great experiences. I sleep in whenever I want. I read whenever I want. I watch movies whenever I want. I take trips whenever I want. I decorate my house however I want. It all comes easily and in the flow. I work whenever I want. This may be often or never. Abundance flows to me from all angles. The universe supports me in this decision. I am totally and utterly free and joyous!
Ok, since I'm having fun with this, I will say some more things that I do whenever I want.
I buy gifts for people whenever I want. I donate tons of money to charities that I think are important. I help important causes. My house is orderly, beautiful, and convenient to live in. I get massages, manicures, pedicures and waxing whenever I want. I eat in restaurants whenever I want. I drive whatever I want. I get facials, haircuts, hair coloring whenever I want. I buy toys and clothing for me and my family whenever I want. I teach my children to be powerful, joyous, and free. Everything is getting better and better every day. I go to Milwaukee to spend time with friends and family whenever I want. I go to Seattle and Portland whenever I want. I travel to Canada. I travel to Tahiti. I travel to France and Italy. All Whenever. I. Want. I am totally and utterly free. I get my dog groomed whenever I want. I buy him sweaters whenever I want. I put little bows in his hair whenever I want. Luckily for him, I don't really want to put bows in his hair, but if I wanted, I could. Ha! My house is so clean. Someone joyously cleans it for me. There is a spot for everything in my home and everyone in my home knows those spots and puts things where they belong so that the place is orderly and everything we have is easy to find. Life is easy. Life is fun. Life is exploratory. We have great relationships. We are at peace. We are in joy. We are source energy personified enjoying the ride of our lives, knowing in every minute that whatever we truly desire, it is ours, and so it comes to us and we enjoy it!
I think that's all for now. :)
So be it!
t
"My audience will summon from me what they want, and I will find the words to help them hear it. They're ready for me, and I'm ready for them. Source has always been ready for all of us. I'll be a conduit through which what they want will flow. I'll find a way of delivering it that they will receive easily."
Abraham goes on to give this advice to the speaker, which I find VERY helpful, about relaxing about whether or not your message is received and/or used:
"They will or they won't right now. If not me, someone else. Don't put pressure on yourself about it or your sense of progress is diminished...Do it for the fun of it."
